If you have been an avid gamer of Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer first-person shooter video game called Overwatch, you would probably already remembered all the characters on the game. However, this might now change as Blizzardrecently teased a new character that might change your perspective in the artificial intelligence world. Here comes the 'Echo'! Who is he?
Overwatch might have its latest hero named Echo! Are you ready to meet him?
Overwatch has been one of the greatest "hero shooter" game available out there since 2015. Blizzard Entertainment and Iron Galaxy which developed the game are earning positive remarks from the game since its first release. Interestingly, Overwatch possibly sees the Coronavirus issue as a way to introduce their newest character that you might know if you already played the game many times.
As first reported via Dexerto, a video clip was recently posted on Facebook by José Augusto Sendim-- a voice actor of one Soldier: 76. On his video, he was seen to be recording for his character in Overwatch when suddenly the fans heard particular audio at the beginning of the video shouting what appears to be the next 'Hero' on the video game.
Soldier's English actor Fred Tatasciore was also present on the video when he was heard saying "talk to Liao" or "Doctor Liao." This confirmed that Doctor Liao might have huge participation in the new character since she was also a founding member of Overwatch and a doctor recognized for her efforts developing artificial life.
This is the time where fans went wild speculating that a new Hero will be soon introduced by Overwatch-- becoming the Hero 32 of the game. His name was said to be 'Echo' which a character that will merge Dr Liao's consciousness with an Omnic body; therefore creating Echo.
Is this true, Blizzard?
As of now, Overwatch and Blizzard itself have not yet confirmed nor denied the said claims that a new hero will be soon available on the game. However, due to their recent tweet on their official Twitter account. The speculations increase more when the tweet shows how "Dr Mina Liao discusses the fear that people have of "omnics," and how her upcoming project could change the conversation surrounding them."
Is Dr. Liao in danger?
If those pieces of evidence cannot yet convince you that a new character is on its way to Overwatch, a follow-up tweet was also posted 10 hours ago by Overwatch-- showing what appears to be a leaked audio clip from the laboratory of Dr Liao.
In the tweet, the attacker was not identified. But it was clear that Dr. Liao is in danger after she shouted: "Everyone get back, stay down, stay down!"
With these clues, something is happening in the Overwatch world, and we are all ready for more!
