[UPDATE] Coronavirus Vaccine Testing Begins! Can We Be Expecting Its Release Any Time Soon?

As reported in a previous article, there have been talks of a coronavirus vaccine being found and that it is already ready for testing. Now, we experience the first step towards the elimination of the coronavirus or Covid-19 by commencing the human testing to make sure that it is both safe and effective for everyone.

The first shot was given in Seattle

Located in Seattle, US researchers finally administered the very first shot to a single person to test the experimental coronavirus vaccine starting the whole movement to counter the global pandemic by the use of vaccines!

Everything started at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute located in Seattle

The very first injection was given by rather anxious scientists who were excited for this potential world-changing coronavirus or Covid-19 vaccine! A healthy volunteers arm was the host for this experiment which was the perfect host for the vaccine to be tested.

According to the Kaiser Permanente study leader who goes by the name of Dr. Lisa Jackson, "We're team coronavirus now," said in a tone that showcased pride and determination after quite a while spent developing the vaccine. "Everyone wants to do what they can in this emergency." She said referring to how they happy they were that a vaccine is finally here.

The first set of experiments is to begin

The first part of the study will start by the study's very first participant who happens to be an operations manager at a small tech company who has received the vaccine inside an exam room. The other participants were three individuals lined up which will later on result to 45 different volunteers who will be given two doses happening a month apart.

Jennifer Haller was the first subject

A certain Jennifer Haller, 43 years old and a mother of two different teenagers said that she felt helpless and that she was amazed by the opportunity for her to be able to participate in the battle against the virus. According to her two teenagers, they think that it is the coolest thing ever that their mother is taking part of the study.

Once the injection was administered, she then said that she was "feeling great" delivering that line with a great smile.

This marks the milestone which could begin a series of studies that could further push the shots to become more efficient, safe, and even more effective. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci of the United States National Institute of Health, it would still take about 12 to 18 weeks before this coronavirus vaccine would be massively available to be used by the public.

The progress is still very satisfactory

According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the coronavirus vaccine has a code-name of its own "mRNA-1273" which has apparently been launched in record speed being the first step towards the achievement of humanity's goal to get rid of the coronavirus or Covid-19.

This is not the only coronavirus vaccine being made around the world

Another possible candidate is Inovio Pharmaceuticals which is starting their own safe study next month in US, China, and even South Korea. The world is on a race to counter the deadly coronavirus or Covid-19!
