Using Ibuprofen and Other Household Drugs Make Coronavirus Worse, Warns French Minister

The world has been taken over by the coronavirus or Covid-19 which is now a global pandemic and although the vaccine is still on its way, people have been trying to find remedy to this virus by all means necessary. One of the most common methodologies would be to apply household drugs for the common cold or fever but according to French Minister, this may make matters even worse!

France has been seeing increasing rates of infected

The coronavirus has made its way into Europe and France is no exemption. The most prominent cases of coronavirus cannot be easily detected and although they have been detected, there needs to be certain medicines and remedies applied to fight the coronavirus or Covid-19. France has found that most of its doctors have been treating the coronavirus cases by methods that are actually worse!

Ibuprofen aggravate the coronavirus

Most doctors have been prescribing their patients to take simple measures like the application of ibuprofen whenever they feel the symptoms of the coronavirus or Covid-19. Others however say that these drugs do not actually prevent the inflammatory response which the body feels and what is worse is that it hinders the immune system's capacity.

The Guardian reported that Jean-Louis Montastruc, pharmacology head at Toulouse Hospital said, "Anti-inflammatory drugs increase the risk of complications when there is a fever or infection.

On a Twitter Post, Health minister of France Olivier Veran also said that using Ibuprofen to counter inflammation may lead to bigger problems further down the road when your immune system is not built properly which is why when drastic measures present themselves, the better choice would be Paracetamol. With the coronavirus or Covid-19 just around the corner, our immune systems should be our priority!

This Translates to: "Taking anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, cortisone...) could be an aggravating factor for the infection,"

France now advises its citizens not to take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or commonly known as Advil, Ibuprofen, and Aspirin in case of COVID-19 infection. Doctors instead are prescribing paracetamol to treat fever.

The best way to fight the coronavirus or Covid-19 is by building a strong immune system

According to most doctors and even what science has proven to the general public, people with stronger immune systems are not that much in danger of getting infected with the coronavirus or Covid-19 compared to those with weaker immune systems like the elderly and those with already existing illnesses. A strong immune system is the key to fighting off many different illnesses and viruses while the coronavirus or Covid-19 is just one of them.

The problem with the common household drugs is that they actually reduce the whole capacity of the immune system to fight against the virus and this makes the risk of getting infected much better. Once the immune system has become used to these common household drugs, it becomes harder to build up a naturally strong immune system to fight against this virus.

Social distancing is the best course of action these days

To decrease the risk of possible infection, social distancing must be properly applied by each and every individual to help do their part in the battle against the coronavirus or Covid-19. Although the world is trying to pull its resources together and work on a vaccine and cure for this coronavirus or Covid-19, the battle against the coronavirus or Covid-19 will not be won unless everyone participates.

The coronavirus or Covid-19 has just been declared a global pandemic which means that it should not be taken lightly and the efforts to fight this virus should be given by not only the government and all health officials but also every single individual as well. The more people will cooperate with social distancing and building up a stronger resistance system, the easier it will be for this virus to subside.
