Now that drones have gained mainstream popularity and have become available to more and more people around the world, the Turkish have begun to see the use of drones necessary on the battlefield. In a recent air raid, the drones have been used to destroy dozens of tanks, including armed personal, as well as crippling deeply Syria's defense system. The possibilities of drone warfare are wide and yet to be discovered, and it seems like Turkey is using it to fight the battles with Syria.
The recent casualty caused by these drones
In Idlib, the Turkish launched a retaliation attack to avenge the death of 34 Turkish soldiers. According to some news outlets, there were people allegedly killed on the battlefield. Instead of sending over troops to a risky and difficult mission, they decided to send unmanned aerial vehicles otherwise known as UAVs, but the most popular term used is drones! These drones have been able to do massive damage towards the enemies of the Turkish as these remote-controlled weapons have been able to minimize risk.
The use of military drones is nothing new
Military drones have already been put to use for decades as a tool for intelligence, surveillance, and also reconnaissance or ISR and even assassination tools, but this is the first-ever advancement made by a military force using drones in a large-scale offensive operation! One circulating belief back then was that the future would be fought by robots, and although the thought of human-like-robots wielding guns in a futuristic apocalypse is still far from possible, we can see the use of drones as a transition from human warfare to a technological one.
The advantages of drones compared to humans
Aside from drones being dispensable and humans being valuable, the drones can infiltrate locations that are deemed too risky for humans to infiltrate. Another great advantage the drone has is that it is remote controlled from afar, which makes surveillance a matter of film and video that can then be replayed until the information is appropriately processed. Yet another benefit of drones in times of warfare would be how they can be immediately deployed after delivery instead of having to undergo military training for a long time. Of course, the drone can never replace a soldier as a soldier is still in charge of controlling a drone but they may still prove to be very useful on the battlefield.

The most recent use of the drone is to drop explosive or missile weapons
Using the drone as a vessel to launch powerful weapons could save the military a lot on fuel compared to launching a jet. Another benefit of this is that air support can be deployed much more easily and in urgent times of need. Turkey seems to be taking advantage of drone technology, which is a great benefit for its military operations. The future of drone usage has yet to be unlocked as more and more uses for this technology unravel over time.
