The United Kingdom charts is a reputable source of finding out which games made it to the top and which games stay at the bottom, but is there a little shred of bias as to which games go straight to the top? So far, everything seems fair as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX has topped the very pile of games this week ending March 7. The only problem is that the very game which it beat is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was still argued to be the best according to last week's charts.

Fans of both franchises are puzzled as to which one is really the best
The data does not lie as the UK charts present that the winner for March 7 was still Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, but some fans would still prefer Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to top the charts once more. Every week the chart changes, but what is surprising about this week is how the Pokemon game suddenly came out and topped the charts without warning even beating one of the most famous games, FIFA 20.
Call of duty has seen a very loyal fan base
The fan base behind COD has been very loyal to the franchise ever since the earlier games as it provided an almost true to life first-person shooter experience, especially during the old days where first-person shooter games were a bit too exaggerated. The fan base for COD has grown even bigger as the franchise has started branching out to other forms of consoles and even hitting the world with a mobile game, which was the easiest one to play!
Pokemon has had an on-and-off fan base
Although Pokemon had a strong fan base from the beginning as it was one of the pioneering games of its genres, the franchise started to become a nostalgic memory instead of something which people wanted to participate in. The video game franchise came back to life with the help of Pokemon Go and has been releasing a few games here and there as of recent. It is quite unexpected, but it is also not a bad thing that a Pokemon game would be able to top the charts once again!
The success of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX
Due to the delay of many blockbuster games, it seems like Pokemon does not have too much of a challenge. Most blockbuster games that were supposed to release sooner (like Cyberpunk) are being delayed, and it seems that what Pokemon has to worry about now are classical games that people might have just grew tired of playing. Nonetheless, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is still one of the most entertaining games to play nowadays, especially if you are looking for something fresh!
In terms of commercial success, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX was able to make 37.6% more than those for the spin-off series' previous game, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon on the 3DS. This is probably thanks to their choice of using the Switch console, which does not seem to have quite the competition when it comes to new games.
