GeForce Now Streaming in Trouble Again: The Long Dark Developer Asks Nvidia to Remove Game For Not Asking Permission!

Nvidia has been experiencing quite a lot of heat lately as games are pulling out of their streaming platform GeForce Now, which has just recently launched. Nvidia's GeForce Now platform allows players to experience unlimited access to the games present on their platform.

However, the recent issue is the lack of games and a bumpy start as games left and right have been pulling out. The director of the now popular The Long Dark, which is a survival game that has gained quite a following, has personally taken it to Nvidia's GeForce Now to take down their game as the company did not ask permission at all!

It seems like Nvidia's GeForce Now is underwater

After a bumpy start and clash with Bethesda games as they just recently pulled out of the game streaming platform, Nvidia's GeForce Now is going through even more heat for putting a game. The computer game company did not ask permission from on their streaming service, which is quite a low blow for anyone in the gaming industry. Nvidia even tried to offer a free graphics card as an apology, but the whole act itself has already been frowned upon.

So far Nvidia's GeForce Now has a small catalog

There are about hundreds of games from over 50 publishers, not all of the games available on Nvidia's GeForce Now have been successful games themselves which make it quite an unpleasant experience for some gamers as they are stuck with second-rate games. There are still some games which players would enjoy on the GeForce Now, but as huge companies are pulling out of this streaming service, most players have become discouraged to subscribe.

The Long Dark is partnered with Valve and not Nvidia

According to The Long Dark developers, there was no such agreement between Nvidia and them for the distribution and access of their game as their original negotiation was with Valve and not Nvidia. The Long Dark has the right to determine where their games can be accessed and where their games cannot be accessed, but maybe because of Nvidia's failure to ask permission, this might reflect negatively against the company.

Bigger companies have already pulled out

Way back from the start, companies like Activision-Blizzard have started to pull out of this streaming service, leaving Nvidia desperate for games as most of the major companies have already exited this streaming service as well. A bumpy start indeed as the best games available during the GeForce Now beta testing have pulled out during the start of this service. The new game streaming platform is already experiencing quite the backlash even after it was launched in the market. Due to the number of complaints, the company was forced to include The Long Dark on their platform without even asking for permission from the developers themself.

Nvidia's GeForce is experiencing quite a rough time. Will there ever be a change in direction for this streaming platform?
