North Korea has not yet confirmed any positive cases of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in their country. This is somehow surprising since the country is geographically closer to Chinese borders wherein the virus originated. However, aside from the virus itself, world leaders are now more worried about North Korea's capability to fight against COVID-19, since the government lacks the proper health and technolgy systems.

Nope, North Korea isn't exempted from Coronavirus, and it's much worse for them!

Tech Times reported last week that North Korea has just killed one of its potential carriers of Coronavirus by shooting him using a gun. This alarmed most of the countries since the government ruled by Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un is known to be under authoritarianism, which impacts most citizens that cannot easily express and display their opinions against the government or anything about their country.

"Not one novel coronavirus patient has emerged," North Korea's flagship Rodong Sinmun newspaper recently quoted Song In Bom, an official with an emergency health committee

Though the government of North Korea already stated that the country does not have an official confirmed case of COVID-19, world health experts said their dismay with the Asian country since it seemed that the country was hiding information regarding the disease.

"They are clearly lying as they don't want to show any weakness or that there is any threat to the regime," said Harry Kazianis, director of Korean studies at the Center for National Interest in Fox News. "Considering how there are many porous sections of the North Korea-China border - and how the Kim regime depends on illegal trade to survive - it is clear the virus has come to North Korea."

Why North Korea is the worst country to have Coronavirus

Of course, no one likes to be one of the Coronavirus victims anywhere in the world. However, if you are living in North Korea and you got the disease, chances are less favored unto you since their health system is obviously one of the underappreciated sectors of their government-- which means possible victims might not survive the virus easily.

Due to this, the United Nations Sanctions Committee said on CNN that they would export health equipment for North Korea for their citizens to be guided on what proper things to do once Coronavirus comes in their way.

"The UN's North Korea sanctions committee quickly approved the shipment of goggles, thermometers, and stethoscopes into North Korea, along with kits to detect if sick persons there have the virus," said the leader of the committee, German UN Ambassador Christoph Heusgen.

Unfortunately, one of the main problems that volunteer from the UN might encounter, is the fact that N. Korea has now closed all possible borders to enter their country-- as their protocol to fight against COVID-19.

"The committee immediately had given permission to export the equipment," he added. "The problem is that right now, North Korea has closed the border. Around the table, the appeal was made for North Korea to allow this equipment so that the population can be better protected."

For now, it is not yet confirmed nor deny whether N. Korea has already accepted the medical assistance from other countries and the UN.
