Unfortunately, this rate seemed to be continuously rising over time. This now forces Chinese citizens to make a huge action to stay inside their houses, especially those people that are under self-isolation as ruled by the Chinese government.
Reported via Daily Mail UK, Chinese people are now starting to go back to their normal lives by attending school and going back to their workplaces. This made the Chinese government worry about those people under Coronavirus self-isolation wherein they might go out of their homes and interact with people.
Local officials and some communities from the country have now joined in one to stop this from happening. They have installed smart devices like electric door seals on the houses of the suspected COVID-19 carriers for local officials to know once they tried to go out of their quarantine.
The device will alarm and send alert to the local authorities once it detects an attempt to open the door. These electric door seals came with a 24/7 monitoring system as a way of more stringent quarantine protocols for those suspected Coronavirus victims.
In the video, residents from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province of Eastern China followed the health protocol and installed their own door seals on their houses. Aside from this region, residential areas in other cities, including Xingyang, Huizhou, and Zhengzhou, have also followed the same action.
Health offices now 'understaffed' in China
An officer was interviewed on the video that said that the electric door seals will help the local authorities on monitoring every potential Coronavirus victims since they are now all understaffed due to the disease.
" [This will] massively improve our proficiency because we are very understaffed," said a local official on Pear Video.
Local authorities are required by law to regularly check the suspected Coronavirus carriers while they are being quarantined. According to the report, they will receive live alerts and real-time locations on their phones whenever a person attempts to escape the quarantine room designed for the potential victims.
Globally, a total number of over 80,000 people are confirmed to have the viral disease, and less than 3,000 citizens already died with COVID-19.
