Guess how much they will pay the actors
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer is rumored to receive a monumental amount of two or three million dollars for the said episode. Surely the actors are worth the cash, and the series will bring a boost to HBO Max's streaming service. This is a small cost of a group of talented individuals who have given joy to generations and bring friends and family together.
The cast's reaction and announcements: IT'S HAPPENING
The six stars confirmed in their social media accounts have confirmed and made sure to assure the public that yes, this is real and not a hoax. A recent picture posted in Friends Instagram account has confirmed it as well. Everyone is in high spirits for this project, and so are the stars!
HBO Max could benefit from this
As streaming services go, HBO Max is one of the most costly ones pricing around $14.99 for a month. So this is a way to entice people to choose their service even just for a while anyway. Friends in itself is a blast of a series, and if you haven't watched it yet, then you're missing out.
Why now after all these years
HBO Max, as well as Warner Bros., think it's time to bring the cast back for one final sendoff. Also, banking on the cast's popularity and that tang of nostalgia that people yearn for to see the cast back even one more time. This is also a strategic move as HBO Max wants the world to see that HBO Max is a different streaming service altogether from Netflix and Disney+ as stated by AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson.
