What is the juicy leak about

It seems that the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 could get a major overhaul when it comes to their processor, suggesting that it's going to get a 10th-generation Intel processor instead. Finally able to power up so many things at once and multi-tasking will never be an issue. Or that's the goal, at least.

Who leaked it and what's the scoop

The leak emerged from a 3DMark Time Spy benchmark result. This was then shared by @_rogame on Twitter as soon as it could be done. According to the leaks, the MacBook Pro 2020 13-inch will come with an intel core i7-1068NG7 processor. This has four cores and eight threads, with a 2.3GHz base clock and can go to 4.1GHz with a boost.

The difference in performance

It seems like the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 could get a major performance boost over last year's model, with a new leak suggesting Apple's smaller MacBook Pro will get 10th-generation Intel processors.

The leak has emerged from 3DMark Time Spy benchmark results, which were shared by @_rogame on Twitter. According to these leaks, the MacBook Pro 2020 13-inch will come with an Intel Core i7-1068NG7 processor with four cores and eight threads, with a 2.3GHz base clock and a 4.1GHz boost.

When comparing to the MacBook Pro 13-inch of 2019, it features an older Intel Core i5-8279U quad-core processor. This newer model scores an impressive 12 percent higher than the previous model. For the graphics department, it could reach up to a 29 percent performance increase. Crazy.

Why the upgrade

If you own or have used a MacBook Pro 13-inch(2019), it really was an older variant of processor, 8th, to be exact. This frustrated people and users out there because it seems that Apple hasn't carefully thought of its users and the modern upgrades they need to get work done.

Ok, so these are only rumors to go by and a screenshot to boot. If this is real, however, Apple users should rejoice in getting their hands on this version of MacBook Pro 13-inch(2020) because of the added upgrade. Apple hasn't said anything yet since it's pretty hush-hush in there right now.

What happened to Apple's own processors anyway

If these leaks are to be believed, Apple is sticking with their guns and choosing Intel for it's MacBook processors for the foreseeable future. There are also rumors that Apple is a bit frustrated with Intel's supply issues, triggering them to create their own processor for its MacBooks. Like what they do for their iPhones and iPads. Still, unconfirmed.

If Apple is still going to use Intel's chip for this year's MacBook Pro, it means that Intel and Apple have resolved their differences or that Apple's own version of the processor is still not ready for commercial use.
