No More Limits! Twitter Finally Adds a "Continue Thread" Option to Link Tweets

One of the things that have been both a positive and negative feature for twitter is the character limit of their Tweets, which is why the new "Continue Thread" option is pretty interesting since it goes against what Twitter was built for, short statements. Now with this new option, we can expect longer threads similar to posts on Facebook, but at least there is an option for users to "Continue Reading."

Tweets are now linked more logically

Before this feature went public, the only way to continue a story would be to reply to your original tweet, which admittedly feels odd because that is clearly not what the feature was designed for. Tweets were a great way to get short messages through a public platform or learning bits and pieces of information from different people as you scroll down while browsing.

The beauty of short tweets is that it does not take too much of your time to get a certain piece of information from people you follow. This has been a great way to get updates from other people and even news as only the headlines are displayed in a tweet. Getting updates on your favorite celebrities and connecting with them on a deeper level is much easier now with the use of twitter.

The new option is really easy to use

If you think that there has to be a lot of adjustment to use this new feature, well, it does not go like that. The simple steps of continuing your tweet can be accessed when you compose a tweet and tap on the "Continue Thread" option. There are three dots that are to be clicked for you to choose which older existing tweet you want to link your current tweet with. This new feature functions smoothly and is really easy to use.

Twitter might be seeing richer content because of this feature

Twitter is known to be a platform for personal remarks and statements instead of full stories, but slowly, Twitter has upgraded into people making threads to report or share a full story, and Twitter has become aware of this evolution. The simple platform is looking at more content as this allows people to write their tweets smoothly and comfortably.

Simplicity was Twitter's Weapon

Twitter relied on the simplicity of its platform for people to be able to post Tweets. Unlike Facebook, Twitter was able to reach people at a more personal level. People became more open about their thoughts, and even random remarks and Twitter even became a personal diary for some. You can share just about anything on twitter as long as it is not offensive, which makes for a strong and interesting platform to use. From videos to pictures to GIFs, Twitter offers quite a meaty amount of entertainment for its users. You can also see what's trending by following certain hashtags that may give you what you want.

The "Continue Thread" on Twitter should add a whole new dimension to its user's experience.
