Google Pixel Buds 2 went on pre-order sale on Tuesday, Feb. 18! Sadly, it was immediately removed from the pre-order items on the store, which was now replaced with other Bluetooth devices.
However, this now gives people the idea that this long-awaited Google product will soon reach the market. Are we going to see an earbud fight between Pixel Buds 2 and the newly-released Samsung Galaxy Buds+? Who do you think will win?
You can now buy Google Pixel Buds 2! Oh, it's just a glitch!
As first reported via 9to5google, Google Pixel Buds 2 went on pre-order sale in an online store B&H Photo on Feb. 18. However, after a couple of hours, the item was then deleted by the store, which is now replaced with a couple of other suggested Bluetooth earphones from other companies.
Before it was deleted, the said post showed that the device will be in 'Clearly White' color and costs $179 for pre-order. If you checked out the store around the time when Pixel Buds was released, the item was enlisted on the 'New Item- Coming Soon' tab but has no images nor specs of the device.
Whether it was a huge error glitch from the store or just a teasing marketing strategy of Google, people are now suggesting that Pixel Buds might soon be available in the market since an online store already brought up its pre-order flag on the item.
Google Pixels Buds 2 specs and what to expect
Pixel Buds or Pixel Buds 2 is the second-generation earbuds product of Google. It was unveiled at the Pixel 4 event last year and said to be released in Spring 2020 for the base price of $179.
These earbuds raised a lot of questions about whether it can compete with other companies since a lot of them already offer earbud products like Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Google summarized its specs by saying that this device can "help make those quick tasks easier and faster, with instant access to the Google Assistant. Plus, they're comfortable and secure in your ear, delivering high-quality sound, make clear calls, and have long battery life."
Although unlike its first-generation Google Pixel Buds, this second-gen device has a total cordless ability that has a Google Assistant built-in to make sure that the user gets comfortable in taking calls or making calls.
Though the specs look promising as usual, it is quite hard for Google to compete with other smart earbuds. Interestingly, the price for the said product can be an issue since it costs more compared to its lead competitor Samsung that has cheaper Galaxy Buds+. So is it still a good catch?
Samsung Galaxy Buds+ vs. Google Pixel Buds 2
Samsung Galaxy Buds+ is the latest earbuds product of the company alongside its four new smartphones in Samsung's Unpacked event.
It costs lower compared to Pixel at $149.99, but $20 costlier than the original Galaxy Buds. These Galaxy Buds+ is said to have an addition of two speakers in each bud and three microphones on each bud. Galaxy Buds+, compared to Pixel Buds, has longer battery life with its boasted 11 hours of straight music listening compared to Pixel's 5 hours power.
Though, once you choose Pixel Buds, you have Google Assistant-- saying that both earbuds are quite powerful for their brands.
If you're still choosing between them, you need to decide now. Google Pixel Buds are coming.
