Call of Duty Warzone teases that it will be hitting the shelves this March and people are excited. What's more exciting is that it's going to come as free to play!
Call of Duty Warzone as people call it now since it's been leaked will be in direct competition with Fortnite and Apex Legends. All the details about it in the report by VGC.
What to Expect Before Release
VGC spoke with "development sources" who stated, barring any unforeseen circumstances or delay, Warzone will launch early March this year. Call of Duty if you are aware or not, usually drops on Tuesdays so it might be on March 3, 10 or 17. Your guess is as good as ours for the release date.
Marketing will begin this week and Activision is inviting select content creators to join a preview of the game as well as some in-game footage.
Rumors Are Everywhere
Just when the rumors started circulating about a Call of Duty battle royal game people were ecstatic, to say the least. The beloved genre is finally joining the competitive nature of team battles but also to compete against a multitude of players with the same skill level. A plethora of leaks has been out ever since it's the announcement.
Call of Duty Warzone will be F2P and will support over 200 players in a single match. If you ever played Black Out, the map is rumored to be twice as huge. It will be a squad-based player system just like any other battle royal game out there. It has a ping system similar to games like Apex Legends. New twists included such as Plunder, Killstreaks and more.
Expect to be with either a four-man team and dropped into and area where the battle awaits. An ever-shrinking map that would make you force to fight other players and see who wins the gunfight. Respawn and fight with your comrades once again in the same round if certain conditions are met.
A lot of things are new and the hype is increasing as March comes to a close. So far we have only leaks to get by and here is the link for it.
What Happens Now
Like Call of Duty is expanding its empire to not just pc and consoles but at mobiles as well. The reach of Activision would be immense. Adding frequent updates to not just the main game but also on their mobile platform. This F2P version of the game will act as a third pillar to the franchise and it's the developers hope to attract new and older players back to the well-known franchise.
For people who'd be interested in playing this F2P title of a massively popular game, the wait is unbearable and you shouldn't blame yourself. March is a month away and the leaks are non stop so stay tuned.
