It's Oscars Awards Day! Aside from the winning films on this year's Oscars, there's a new advertisement that got the attention of tech fans that was released during the program. It was the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip ad, and people seemed to be amazed at its sudden appearance on the much-awaited film event.
You've missed out on an important ad in this year's Oscars, and it's Samsung's!
On Monday, Feb. 10, the 92nd Academy Awards, most popularly known as Oscars Awards revealed the award-winning films all over the world. Surprisingly, another revelation was made during the program when a Samsung advertisement was presented during Oscars, and it showcased the newest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip that everyone is now talking about.
It is only a day away from Samsung's most-awaited Unpacked event, and tech fans seemed to be surprised by Samsung's teasing ad of Galaxy Z Flip.
Though it's only almost 30 seconds, the advertisement gained popularity in social media, and people are saying that Samsung's new flip phone is what smartphones may look like in the future.
"Apple out here doing the same s*** every day just upgrading the camera while Samsung trying hard to make flip phones the future," said Twitter user @VSOP.
Samsung Galaxy Z flip specs and design
Though it is only a teaser ad, Samsung probably gave enough details on what people should expect on its upcoming flip smartphone.
Lots of leaked info and rumors were now confirmed through the help of the video. As seen on the teaser, Galaxy Z Flip has an outside screen on which users can use to answer or decline an incoming phone call. It can also sit at a 90-degrees position on its own that can be perfect for users when video calling or watching on their smartphones.
The ad also revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip could be bought with different colors of purple and black. However, though a lot of people were surprised by the new ad, some were disappointed after knowing that the new Galaxy Z Flip will have a small crease in the center of the screen-- which said to be a natural characteristic of the screen.
"I love the idea of a foldable phone, but literally any amount of screen crease is an instant "no" from me," said Twitter user @gmcconnaughey.
Samsung Galaxy Z flip leaks and rumors
So far, there are already tons of leak info and rumors spreading about what this Galaxy Z Flip can do. Reports say that the device will have 6.7-inch, 2,636 x 1,080 folding display with more protective "Ultra-Thin Glass" instead of plastic. Some stories also mentioned that the device would use Snapdragon 855+, that has at least 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB of storage.
Though Samsung does not yet confirm all of these specs, all the waitings will end soon once Samsung's Unpacked event happens a few hours from now.
