Coronavirus spread has now resulted in a total death toll of 425 people and more than 20,000 confirmed victims of the viral disease, as of Tuesday, Feb. 4.

According to CNN, the surge of confirmed victims from China has now increased by 18 percent for only a day. Due to the continuous spread of respiratory disease, leading Chinese tech companies have now introduced 'virus tracker' apps that will quickly help citizens in China to identify which place in the country already have a positive case of the viral disease.

In this way, Chinese citizens will be able to help the government to inform people about not entering the Coronavirus positive places.

Chinese data mapping company called QuantUrban and a third-party WeChat mini-program developer named "YiKuang" - or "Epidemic Situation" recently introduced a platform that will let users received official information on the neighborhoods wherein confirmed cases live. In this way, users can gauge how close they are to infection sites by looking at a geographical map.

"We wanted to annotate the information on the map so that the public could better see how epidemic sites are distributed more intuitively, and also remind everyone to make adequate protection," said Yuan Xiaohui, QuantUrban's co-founder and CEO.

Both of the companies will divide the regions in China to be easily used by users. For example, YiKuang will cover the southern cities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou, while QuantUrban will cover the other nine provinces in the cities.

Officials from the companies said that the apps will provide comfort for citizens of China since they can now be assured on which area in China they are still protected from the Coronavirus.

"Seeing the map is a psychological comfort. You can't guarantee there won't be fresh cases, but you can avoid an area that's already hit," said by April, a Shenzhen-based manager who declined to give her full name on Reuters.

Shenzhen, China positive cases continued to rise

One of the biggest cities in China is Shenzhen, Guangdong that also has the top increasing positive cases of Coronavirus of more than 200 people.

YiKuang will be the one that will cover the said area and citizens are recommended to install the said app,

"If I know that there are sick people nearby, I can take steps to be extra cautious," a finance student named Steven told Reuters. "I live between Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and these maps are really great there."

On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jin Ping already met with the public officials of China in regards to the continuous increase of Coronavirus victims. He said that the viral disease had affected everyone in the country and even the overall economic and social stability of China.

Still, the Chinese government said that they will conduct an overhaul of environmental sanitation conditions in the country to prevent the total spread of Coronavirus.
