Samsung, one of the leading brands in the smartphone game, will host it's unpacked reveal event on Feb. 11. This reveal will most likely confirm what has already been speculating around the interwebs that were already leaked.
Leaks and rumors have already been popping up about the Samsung Galaxy S20 for months and have gained massive traction because of the hype. Samsung Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Buds+, are there to see in the leaked picture.
Rumor has it that there will be three different screen sizes, which are 6.2, 6.7, and 6.9-inches, respectively. For the rear camera, it might gain a couple of features and/or bigger sensor range.
The phones to watch out really are the S20 and S20 Plus, and these will be the direct upgrades to last year's Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus models. Literally, they will be the successors and the ones to look forward to most.
What is in store for you:
As per every Galaxy model that comes next, it will always be an upgrade from the previous generation, may it be minor or major. This is what we know so far: 120Hz is now the standard for the S20, you heard it right. 120Hz from a phone perspective is an amazing feeling. It will make everything feel very responsive and will be very pleasing to the eyes. An overhaul in regard to the camera, featuring four rear camera systems which promises to take remarkable shots. This is why Samsung isn't far beside Apple's iPhone and Google's Pixel.
Upgraded and updated processors that will no doubt include 5g support by DEFAULT, this might be true for the US variants of the phone since 5g is unfortunately not a focus across the world so far.
More info regarding features
We mentioned that 120Hz is confirmed, but at what cost? As per leaks from XDA Developers show the display in question in action. This revealed the indeed lightning-quick reflexes of 120Hz refresh rate, but this can only be used at the lower FHD+ resolution. The standard higher-res WQHD+ setting will only be able to go all out at 60Hz. Bummer.
For the overhaul of the phone's camera setup, we will be explaining the differences of each variant to you in detail as of the leaks. S20 will have a 12MP main camera lens, a 64MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and the same goes for the S20 Plus but will also include a 3D time-of-flight sensor. If the bigger battery life of the S20 Plus and the extra sensor is what you need, then go for it. You do you.
Leaks provide some benefits-it gives users perspective as to that would be in store for them, especially when it comes to gadgets or anything new. However, take the leaks and rumors with a grain of salt because no matter how accurate the source is, there are always unknowns that can change the reality of what's real.
