How to get That Refund

In line with this, users who own a copy of Rocket League can now get a refund by going to Steam and following some easy steps. Here's what to do:

  1. Go and head on to the Steam Support website and log in to our Steam account.
  2. Click the word "Purchases"
  3. Select the game you want to be refunded with, so for this case, it would be Rocket League.
  4. Select the "I would like a refund" option
  5. Then go over the options from that and select "I'd like to request a refund"
  6. Select from the choices given "My issue isn't listed" seen in the dropdown menu
  7. In the notes section, place there the reason for the refund, and it would be as follows. "Please refund my Mac/Linux version of Rocket League, Psyonix will be discontinuing support."

You will receive a reply shortly after you sent the ticket regarding the status of your refund. However, if this doesn't work, you may have to manually create a ticket that will be a little bit slower but will be personally reviewed by a Valve Support Agent and will most probably assist you.

Now to send a manual ticket it will be a bit different but mostly the same, here's how:

  1. Go again and log in to Steam Support
  2. Click "Purchases"
  3. Select the game "Rocket League" from the options
  4. Select "I have a question about this purchase"
  5. Now this is where you want to expound your predicament
    1. Then place that you would like a refund on Rocket League
    2. Also mention that you either play the game on MacOS or Linux
    3. Psyonix, the game developer, will be discontinuing the support for both OS versions of the game very soon

Now all you need to do now is wait for them to respond.

It is sad to see an update of this magnitude that they will no longer have support for this game in those OS, but this is understandable since they want the game to be as optimized as possible. The game will still be available to play, and if you are a Windows user, you have nothing to fret since it doesn't affect.
