Originally scheduled for Feb. 5 for week two of the LPL, however, due to the outbreak, there will be a pause on all of this until safety is back on board. Initially, LPL took a break after week one for the Chinese New Year.

What Happens Now
In the meantime, players of the league can be content on playing in the safety of their walls and continue to hone their skills in-game instead of the larger stage as to not jeopardize the health and safety of the people competing. Until this virus is contained or at best the cure is found there is no update as to when the league will start again soon.
Not just League of Legends is affected by this but mainly e-Sports gaming in Asia as a whole, and it should be taken seriously as well since E-sports over the last decade has gained a very large following in fans who would fill the stadiums the games would be held in to support their team and the shared love of the game. With the outbreak, still fresh and a cure that is nowhere complete e-Sports gaming fans would be disappointed. However, it is for the betterment of all to postpone all things as this is indeed a serious matter.
As of the time of writing, still no word from Riot or Tencent as to when week two will resume and has set an open date to the qualifiers. Stay tuned to Tech Times for more updates.
