Bose Corporation, a US-based audio equipment seller and developer, has recently decided to soon shut down all of Bose retail stores located on countries such as North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia over the next months.

You Cannot Buy Bose Speakers on These Countries Anymore Unless You Go Online

As first reported via the Verge, Bose that has one of the leading markets of selling headphones, earbuds, and speakers all over the world, will now push away the idea of selling their items on physical stores.

An exact number of 119 Bose retail stores will no longer open for the next months while "in other parts of the world, Bose stores will remain open, including approximately 130 stores located in Greater China and the United Arab Emirates; and additional stores in India, Southeast Asia, and South Korea."

This means that if you are located in the countries mentioned, having to purchase a set of Bose speakers or headphones can now be difficult to do if you're not a fan of buying items online.

This is based on their assessment that most Bose items are more marketable on online stores such as Amazon.

"Originally, our retail stores gave people a way to experience, test, and talk to us about multi-component, CD and DVD-based home entertainment systems," said Colette Burke, Bose's vice president of global sales. "At the time, it was a radical idea, but we focused on what our customers needed, and where they needed it - and we're doing the same thing now."

Bose Employees Are Not Happy With This Decision

Though the intention of the company is to promote online selling, employees from the soon-to-be-closed retail stores seemed to be disappointed with the decision as hundreds of them will be set to lay off once this is applied.

Bose already shared a statement saying that they were grateful for the services of their loyal employees over the past years and its difficult for them to let go of these people.

However, as a way to compromise, "Bose will be offering outplacement assistance and severance to affected employees."

The company also demands to not the detail and say how many employees and other information about the laying off in order to protect their former employees.

"They [Bose employees] take care of every person who walks through our doors - whether that's helping with a problem, giving expert advice, or just letting someone take a break and listen to great music. Over the years, they've set the standard for customer service. And everyone at Bose is grateful," said Bose Corporation.

What's Next for Bose?

Bose has been offering audio equipment over the past decades. In 1993, the first Bose retail store was built in the United States. Ever since the company provides quality and in-demand Bose items from different audio products needed today.

If you're looking for these items, you can check out online stores like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Apple stores, other third-party retailers, and even on the company's own website to check some of their items.
