Just like that, Niantic, the developer of the game, announced the different prizes that PoGo players can win on each field research that includes Lapras with its legacy moves. Are you ready to find out more?
How Does Pokemon Go Field Research Works?
Being able to understand Pokemon Go's Field Research tasks is a must for all PoGo players but can easily be done. If you want to join Field Researches, PoGo players have to go to Pokestops on which will provide various Field Research to be completed. Just like a normal to-do list, each Pokestop will give a task once a day, and players can accommodate up to three tasks-- if you're kicking a deadline. Once you completed a task, the game will give you a stamp marked with the date you completed your Field Research task.
If you get the whole week or exactly seven days of completing tasks, players may have the chance to encounter a special Pokemon, along with getting free Stardust, items, and some XP as rewards. If you wish to use your multiple completed tasks on a day, you can delay the time you will turn it in, in order to credit your multiple stamps to the next day.
What's in it for you? Meet Lapras on flesh!
Take a deep breath now and let your Pokedex be your guide as Lapras is returning from the game after its 2018 fame. Starting on Jan. 1 up to Feb. 1 at 4 pm EST, PoGo players can have the chance to encounter dual-type Water- and Ice- Pokemon Lapras on the flesh. Not only that, but Lapras is also bringing its powerful attack combinations of Ice Shard and Ice Beam that will be perfect if you're battling against Dragon-, Flying-, Grass-, and even Ground-type pocket monsters.
This Lapras is an interesting Field Research breakthrough reward that you can catch at a maximum of five times if you completed all your tasks at the end of the week. Sadly, unlike the past breakthrough rewards, Lapras can only be available for this month-- so make sure it will be worth it.
