There are five simple ways to achieve a safer digital life. You don't have to be a tech expert; neither do you need to be fully equipped to follow these easy steps. Read on and prepare for a better and more innovative 2020.
1. Review all your subscriptions to take out those that you are not frequently using. For instance, with Quick, check how many services and websites you are presently subscribed to. Check if you've been using them lately. Sit down and arrange the ones with recurring fees. Apple's iCloud TV, Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, and Amazon Prime are among the most common names you're probably subscribed to. The best thing about subscriptions is that you can always cancel anytime.
2. Organize your digital photo collection. Scan all your pictures on your mobile phone, computer, or tablet. Delete the ones that duplicate, not worth keeping and sharing on social media. Additionally, pictures that are worth for reminiscent should also be included in your digital photo collection to organize. Getting organized may mean creating folders according to date, celebration, and a group of people featured on photos, to name a few.
3. Change passwords to avoid hackers. It is essential to know that hackers need just one password to steal and break in your digital information. So, if you use the same password repeatedly and in your multiple accounts over and over again, you must be inviting trouble. It would help if you created a unique password for every website you visit. The password needs to consist of a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as symbols and numbers.
4. Back up your data. You should at least keep three copies of your information: 1 stored in your local machine, one secured on cloud storage, and one saved on your offline external drive.
