Luckily, Realme, a China-based smartphone provider seemed to start their year earlier with its fresh announcement that has to do with their very first 5G smartphone to be sold in the market soon. To be even more specific, the world will soon witness Realme's X50 5G.

Not everyone knows about Realme, especially if you're not a fan of Chinese smartphones and since the company only offered smartphones back in 2018. However, as per reviews on different tech websites, Realme seemed to be one of the most trending smartphones all over the world, specifically in India.
"Realme came as an alternative to Xiaomi with similar price points, device design, and specs, expanded to offline quickly and tasted success," says Navkendar Singh, research director (devices and ecosystem), at IDC India & South Asia.
In fact, according to a survey, Realme becomes the fastest growing smartphone that reached over 800 percent annual growth in the middle of 2019. If this is the case, what can we expect at its very first 5G smartphone in the market?
1. Realme's First 5G Smartphone
On Nov. 27, the information that Realme will be releasing its first 5G smartphone was first mentioned by Realme India's CEO Madhav Sheth. He teased the audience on the Realme X2 Pro India launch event with images of the phone, which said to have similar specs with Redmi K30.
On Dec. 3, Qualcomm announced that there are already smartphone companies that will soon offer 5G smartphones with its devices. Although Realme was not said specifically to belong to that group, its mother company of Oppo was part of that list.
2. Powered by Snapdragon 765G
Realme X50 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 765G processor. Although this is still not verified by Realme itself, many are expecting to be amazed by Snapdragon 765G because it can now offer 5G services. Qualcomm already reported that their older processors can still have 5G services, and with Realme X50's 'rumored' Snapdragon 765G-- many are eager to see it on the market.
3. Appearance
As based on the Realme fan page through 91mobiles, X50 will have a 6.44-inch full HD+ S-AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is like Samsung's Note 9 with its 6.4" display. This also means that X50 can be considered as one of the smartphones that have the biggest screen displays.
4. Camera Specs
When we talked about its camera specs, the Realme X50 5G is said to have a quad-camera setup comprising of a 60MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For its front camera, Realme X50 5G has a 32MP sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens housed in a pill-shaped cutout.
5. Battery and Super Fast Charging
The smartphone is being said to be packed with 4,500mAh battery and support Super VOOC 4.0 fast charging.
6. Comes with Three Variants
As also mentioned, Realme X50 5G will come with three variants for users to choose from. These are 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage.
7. Launch Date
Now, for the information you've been looking forward to, the launch date. If you're interested in avail this smartphone, you just only have to wait for only a few more days. However, in China only, Realme X50 5G will be available on Jan. 7, 2020, as said on a Weibo post.
Alongside X50, Realme is set to launch another smartphone called Realme X50 Lite 5G (Youth Edition) on the same day.
