'Fortnite' Chapter 2 Guide: Stretch Goals Challenges Revealed, Plus New 'Star Wars' Skins

The popular battle royale game, Fortnite, has recently got another update in time for its weekly challenges, as well as a few other extras that will definitely make the fans happy, including three new Star Wars skins.

Stretch Goals Mission

Every Thursday of each week, Epic Games releases a new Mission for Fortnite players to complete, and this week, a set of new challenges await fans.

According to Fortnite Insider, there are two parts to this week's Mission named "Stretch Goals," including a set of normal challenges and a prestige version, with the latter surely taking more time to complete.

Unlike the previous missions, there are no loading screens this week, meaning there won't be any hidden letters that you need to find.

Additionally, the challenges are quite self-explanatory and direct to the point, so you won't really need guides on how to do them, unlike with the past challenges wherein players had to visit certain unnamed locations on the map.

Normal and Prestige Challenges

Based on a report by Forbes, completing the challenges will grant the players with 52,000 XP, and players should be able to complete them by playing more.

Below are the seven normal challenges each Fortnite player will have to finish:

  • Deal damage to opponents (5,000)

  • Achieve Shotgun or AR Specialist by dealing damage with either a Shotgun or an Assault Rifle (10)

  • Achieve Pistol or SMG Specialist by dealing damage with either a Pistol or SMG (10)

  • Achieve Sniper or Explosive Specialist by dealing damage with either Snipers or Explosives (10)

  • Get weapons from Fishing Spots (10)

  • Eliminate opponents (25)

  • Outlast your opponents in Solos, Duos, or Squads (2000)

The prestige challenges are basically the same as the normal ones; however, they will require more points to complete, and will, therefore, be harder and longer to finish.

Nonetheless, it is still unclear whether the prestige challenges will offer a better reward or something more than the XPs, although Epic Games tend to release the challenges for the players to acquire enough XPs in order to unlock more in-game content when the season ends.

Arrival of New Star Wars Skins

Meanwhile, the latest Fortnite patch didn't just bring the new Stretch Goals Mission, but also three new skins.

But they aren't just new skins—these are Star Wars skin, featuring a Rey, Finn, and Sith Trooper skins that are now available in the Item Shop.

For those who are unaware, these three new Star Wars skins aren't the first one to arrive in the Fortnite world, as they would be joining the Imperial Stormtrooper skin that was already released last month for Fortnite and Star Wars crossover event.

A Movie Affair

Best of all, a scene from the upcoming film, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, will premiere in the game, specifically at the Risky Reels drive-in on Saturday, Dec. 14, as reported by PCGamer.

This should be a great way to soothe the broken hearts of many Fortnite fans after Epic Games has debunked the latest rumor surrounding the arrival of an annual battle pass that has circulated the internet a while ago.
