Calling all Resident Evil fans, do you know the rumor flying around is true?
After the popular Resident Evil 2 remake made a positive impact from RE fans, another Capcom revamp is now expected to be released next year-- the Resident Evil 3 remake. Fans already heard about the said remake of the third installment from Capcom back in Dec. 3 when PlayStation store popped or 'accidentally leaked' updated cover art of Leon, Carlos Oliveira, and Nemesis on its website.
Since then, a lot of rumors and speculations opened the hearts and minds of Resident Evil fans, hoping that it would be real this time. And since fans have a strong faith for this installment, Capcom recently announced in the Sony's final State of Play presentation of 2019 that there will be a launching of Resident Evil 3 remake soon in 2020.
However, before you get all hyped up with this remake, there are things that you should know first before encountering zombies in RE 3.
We're Back with Jill Valentine
If you already played Resident Evil 3: Nemesis back on its first launching in 1999, you already knew how the remake would focus on. As aired on its official trailer, the story will revolve around Jill Valentine-- one of the last remaining S.T.A.R.S. members. The game will begin on events that happened before Resident Evil 2, and then, some scenes would be simultaneous with RE 2.
In the game, you will be Jill Valentine that needs to escape the scary town of Racoon City filled with hungry zombies. However, zombies are not just the only enemies in the game but a monstrous creature named Nemesis-- that Capcom said to had a significant design upgrade-- that will hunt you down.
Same Over-the-Shoulder Third-Person Action
Just like on the Resident Evil 2 Remake, the game will still be using an 'over-the-shoulder' camera perspective, which gives more thrill to the game-- making you feel like you are inside the game. Resident Evil 3 remake was said to have more realistic and overhauled graphics to provide a real atmosphere from the city itself.
Resident Evil: Resistance
Another surprise from the grand reveal is that Project Assistance-- Capcom's 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror-- will be part of the Resident Evil 3 remake package. It will be a new featured multiplayer that gamers can also play along with RE 3.
Platforms Available and Release Date
The said released date of this remake would be on April 3, 2020, on Playstation 4 consoles. And just like any Resident Evil games, you can still play this game on Xbox One and PC via Steam.
Resident Evil 3 Remake Pre-Order
Since its still months away before the said release of Resident Evil 3 remake, you still have a chance to pre-order this game on different online stores as long as you buy first its base game with $60 price. Aside from that, once gamers already put a pre-order on Resident Evil 3 remake now, the game will give away an exclusive Classic Costume Pack that includes Jill's original outfit and Carlos' original hairstyle.
