We're finally seeing the first official merchandise for "The Mandalorian" and fans better brace their wallets for it. Disney has partnered up with Funko to create a Funko Pop model of their unexpected star Baby Yoda.
"The Mandalorian," Disney's first foray into creating television series for their cultural megagiant Star Wars, has proven hugely successful. But it's not The Mandalorian himself who's getting all the attention in social media.
Baby Yoda, or The Child if you ask Disney (as that's the official name given to the child alien whose species still has no official name), has captured the hearts and minds of countless fans over the internet. In the span of just three weeks, countless fan arts and fan merchandise of the cute little alien have been made. His otherworldly adorability in scenes from the Mandalorian has also instantly elevated him to meme status.
Funko, famous for making plastic collectibles of just about everything and everyone famous, has revealed on their blog the impending release of a Funko Pop! Version of Baby Yoda. Your very own Baby Yoda will come in two sizes: the standard Funko Pop size you've probably seen in any comic book or collectible store, and a 10-inch figurine (which is roughly around half the height of the real Baby Yoda) that's basically a bigger version of the standard Funko Pop.

If you still want more Baby Yoda in your life, Mattel is also releasing their own plush. Standing at 11 inches, this Baby Yoda will have its head and hands made of vinyl to replicate its alien textures. It's available for pre-purchase now at ShopDisney for around $25, and is expected to release around Spring time 2020.
And if Spring seems like a time a long time from now and a galaxy far, far away, then you'll have more than enough time to finish a 500-pieces puzzle from Buffalo Games. Featuring concept art from The Mandalorian, with the titular character carrying Baby Yoda, this puzzle should keep you busy enough while you wait for your own Baby Yoda to arrive at your doorsteps. The puzzle can be preordered right now at Amazon for around $11.
If you're not a fan of Baby Yoda and prefer the titular bounty hunter himself, you can grab a Funko Pop of The Mandalorian right now.

(SPOILER ALERT)
While The Mandalorian isn't ending anytime soon (only half of the eight episodes in season one have been released), we already know that Disney is working on the second season. And while we don't know how the first season ends, we have a good idea, thanks to The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, what to expect for the second season.
The director slipped that he was the onset of the second season of The Mandalorian. There, he was able to meet everyone's favorite baby alien. In an interview with TheWrap, Johnson said:
"I visited the set of 'The Mandalorian' a month ago, and I spotted Baby Yoda in the corner, and the producer shot me a look as if to say, 'you can't say a word!' I've been holding that secret in my heart forever now. And the memes are amazing. I'm very pro-Baby Yoda."
