Square, triangle, circle, "X" buttons, or for others, they call it cross—if you are familiar with these terms, no doubt these symbols represent childhood and different memories. If you knew these symbols, you had a great time playing the Playstation.
UPDATE: PlayStation Gets Guinness World Record, and the Here are the Winners of the PlayStation Awards 2019
Who will forget Playstation?
Playstation evolved over the years. Released in December 1994 in Japan, this device was the very first video game console to reach over 100 million units—and this continues to emerge over the decades.
Imagine feeling the intensity of war in "Call of Duty" or having experience each punch of Ryu or Ken through each vibration from Playstation controller whenever entering the world of "Street Fighter"—that is how Playstation never failed to give its people, both young and adult, a worthwhile experience in gaming.
Right now, PlayStation only has four models: PS or PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4.
For sure, SONY made everyone's childhood an awesome one through the creation of PlayStation—every gamer knew its style and appearance even when eyes closed. However, giving something new to gamers also plays a major role when it comes to the gaming industry.
And what did Sony do? Create another Playstation—now reaching PS5.
PS5 vs. Other Playstation
All of the previous models of PlayStation do have something in common when it comes to their physical appearances—they all come in the shape of a box.
PlayStation's boxes look like a DVD player or a large Walkman. However, this might change now as photos of PlayStation 5 (PS5) were leaked online, making questions all over the internet on why would Sony change their classic design.
PS5: Better Playstation with a Cooler Design
According to a tweeted post from @Alcoholikaust with the caption "PS5, anyone?," a device was seen on a table looking like a spacecraft from "Star Wars" or "Star Trek" or an infrastructure that you can only see in Sci-fi movies. As weird as it looks, this is what PS5 console was meant to be designed—as confirmed by The Verge's writer Tom Warren.
Several air vents can be seen covering the device and also on the inside of the V-shaped hollow point in the middle-top part. The v-shaped designed does not only symbolizes the model as number 5, but it also aims to help the CPU to last longer because of its air vents compared to the old models.
Not only that, but it also helps the devkit to be more stackable, allowing players to run multiple stress tests, as based on the tweet of Warren. Aside from the CPU getting a make-over, the controller that provides gaming experience physically also underwent some major changes.
PS5 Differences
The latest Pro-controller of PS5 has longer battery life, customizable options, and interchangeable analog grips. The analog sticks also go deeper into the controller delivering a more satisfying and realistic experience for the players depending on the gaming scenarios they love to play.
Information about the said change is still limited since it is expected to be released in November 2020, and some changes regarding the appearance are still expected until it is finally released in the market. Once PS5 is released, a price point of $499 or even $599 is expected.
One thing's for sure, not only young people might go crazy with this one but also the adults, especially the gents. You know what they say, "Boys never grow up, their toys only evolve."
