Apple Inc., one of the leading multinational companies in the world, seemed to be reduced by another genius on the circle of their leadership team. Aside from the reports of Disney CEO Bob Iger resigning from his former post in the company, Apple's Chief Design Officer Jonathan 'Jony' Ive also said goodbye to Apple.

In June, the said resignation of Ive was already announced by Apple on its website, wherein they explained that 'later this year' would be the final date of resignation for the seasoned chief design officer.

This date must be today as Apple already removed the name of Ive on its leadership board.

Apple CEO Tim Cook Fights Jony Ive?

In the same month of June, a Wall Street Journal report shared the reason why Ive decided to quit on his job. According to the article, Apple CEO Tim Cook was reported having issues against Ive due to Cook's "lack of interest" on Apple's new designs. Since then, Ive was said to be 'dispirited' and slowly said farewell to his Apple design team.

However, on a different report from Engadget, Cook reiterated that the issue was not real and the article from WSJ is 'absurd' and 'lacked understanding of the design team and how Apple works.'

Still, the inevitable happened, and Ive already left his position from the well-known company.

Why Jony Ive Left Apple?

Though the resignation was initially announced by Apple management, a lot of speculations are still going on, on why Jony Ive left his company for good.

Ive started working for Apple in 1992 and began to lead the design team in 1996. As the design chief for the past years, Ive had done incredible works for Apple. These include iMac G3, the iPod, the iPhone, the Apple Watch, and even the Macbook Air.

Back to the reason for his departure from Apple, Cook already explained it on his statement.

Jony Ive Teams Up with Another Company

"Apple will continue to benefit from Jony's talents by working directly with him on exclusive projects, and through the ongoing work of the brilliant and passionate design team, he has built. After so many years working closely together, I'm happy that our relationship continues to evolve and I look forward to working with Jony long into the future," said Cook in a statement.

Ive is still part of Apple. However, he will also be joining his own independent design company called LoveFrom. In this company, he will be working with his long-time friend and a former Apple design officer Marc Newson.

Still, Apple claims that they will not be affected by the removal of Ive to their team and that everything would be back on track again.

Who will Replace Ive?

Since the position is now up for grabs for other design officers in Apple, the company already announced that Evans Hankey, vice president of Industrial Design, and Alan Dye, vice president of Human Interface Design, are going to replace Ive's position while also reporting to Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer.
