Halo on PC

Halo: The Master Chief Collection first appeared on the Xbox One as a compilation and remaster of the first six Halo titles: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, Halo 2: Anniversary Edition, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4, and Halo: Reach. On Mar. 12, it was announced that the collection would finally be moving to PC, in a move seen as their dedication to their new focus on supporting both the Xbox and PC platforms. Microsoft eventually backed up on its promise, with expanding Xbox Game Pass to PC and promising to launch its exclusive games on Xbox, Steam, and other digital desktop platforms.

While 343 Industries, current developers of the Halo franchise, are keen to launch Halo: Reach on the PC on Dec. 3, it is possible for them to push the launch date back. There has also been no report as to when the other titles in the Halo: The Master Chief Collection would be released.

Extra Bonuses in the driver

The game driver package doesn't only optimize Halo :Reach on release. It also adds the capability for image sharpening via Nvidia Control Panel in games using Vulkan or OpenGL as their render. Previously, when Nvidia launched the feature last month, Nvidia only supported DirectX titles. This new update now allows image sharpening in almost all modern games, regardless of which renderer users prefer to use.

The update also adds more features for Nvidia's free-to-download Quake II RTX. The update includes updates to textures that improve image quality and have also improved in-game metal rendering. Nvidia has also improved the water in game, with better underwater god rays. They've also added new graphical options such as resolution scaling, reflection and refraction depth, temporal anti-aliasing toggles, and more.
