Regardless of your familiarity with Disney+, knowing the easy ways to use the platform with the Apple TV app and Up Next features is essential, especially for someone who wants to achieve a synced viewing experience. This new app is available for any Apple device like iPhone, Apple TV, or iPad. However, of all these devices, Apple TV is the most advantageous. With this Apple product, you can have a synced viewing experience across your devices running on iOS with the Up Next feature.
Although it's great to witness a full integration of Disney+ (Disney Plus) into Apple TV channels, many have at least seen some of this incorporation. Nevertheless, it is good to keep in mind that this means opting to play Disney+ content via the Apple TV app opens the movie or show in the Disney+ app.
Simple How-to's
Before following the easy steps below, it is important to know that for you to have the Disney+ app run on an Apple TV, you need to have a 4th-generation device released in 2015 or a much even later version. Then, so long as the device is running tvOS, you can get the movie platform and stream all the Disney+ content, which includes Disney classics, Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney+ exclusives. Now, here are the easy steps to use the movie-viewing platform with the Apple TV app and Up Next feature:
- After you sign up for Disney+ and getting all set up with the application on at least one Apple mobile device, tap and open the Apple TV app.
- Select a Disney+ movie or show. You can also swipe down to find the 'Watch Now' tab and view the complete content of Disney+.
- Press the 'Play' button on a particular movie or show, then tap the 'Connect' option to have it enabled in the TV app. After this, you can already watch the content of your choice, via the Apple TV app.
Cost and Availability of Disney+
You can get Disney+ for either $6.99 per month or $6.99 annually. In addition, you may also opt for a bundle, combining Disney+ and Hulu (plus ads), and ESPN+ for a $12.99 per month rate. When it comes to location, this platform is initially available only in the United States and Canada, at least for now. Meanwhile, a free pilot had discreetly launched in The Netherlands as its precursor to Disney+'s debut two days ago.
The next locations waiting for Disney+ to be available are Australia and New Zealand. The official launch in these areas is on Nov.19. Disney announced the service is soon to expand to other countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, to name a few. It will be available in these locations on March 31, 2020. The selection of content will vary according to country, just like how it works with Netflix and all other streaming platforms.
