Here's everything you need to know about the new model.
Display
Apple headlined the redesign with its bigger, 16-inch display. It's definitely much larger than the previous 15-inch version, and it certainly dwarfs the 13-inch version. It features a retina display, which Apple boasts the largest hi-res display they've ever put in a laptop. The MacBook Pro also maximizes the screen size, thanks to its slim bezel design. The resolution isn't exactly 4K, but at least it gives a crisp 3072 x 1920 resolution, with 500-nit brightness.
Audio and Acoustics
This new design sounds like it includes a lot of good quality audio and acoustics built into it. Apple says that the 16-inch MacBook Pro has a six-speaker sound system with dual force-canceling woofers. It will reportedly deliver better bass performance while also reducing vibrations, delivering an overall improved sound quality.
Meanwhile, Apple also says that the 16-inch MacBook Pro will also have three microphones that can perform as well as studio microphones.
Keyboard and Touch Bar
Probably the highlight of the 16-inch MacBook Pro, the new "Magic Keyboard" that comes with it finally solves Apple's long-time problems with its laptops' keyboards. It uses a scissor mechanism instead of the previous butterfly mechanism. Using the scissor mechanism paired with improvements on its keycap design results in better stability and reliability.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro still has a touch bar, but now there's a dedicated key for the escape button. Sitting on the upper right corner of the keyboard sits the Touch ID sensor. Overall, the touch bar remains the same as it was before, but shorter.
16-inch MacBook Pro Specs
The 16-inch MacBook Pro specs are impressive. It's available in two base models.
The first has 16GB of RAM, 2.6GHz six-core Core i7 Processor, 4GB AMD Radeon Pro 5300M GPU, and 512GB.
The second is the pricier version with slightly upgraded specs: 16 GB of RAM, 2.3GHz eight-core Core i9 CPU, 4GB Radeon Pro 5500M GPU, and 1TB SSD.
Apple fans could further improve its components for up to 64GB of RAM, up to 2.4GHz eight-core Core i9 processor, up to 8GB Radeon Pro 5500M GPU, and up to 8TB SSD.
All versions of the 16 MacBook Pro come in Space Grey or Silver designs. They also come with 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports, but lack any form of card readers or disc drives.
Apple boasts that the 16 inch MacBook Pro's new 11-Wh Battery could last up to 11 hours, and comes with a 96-watt charger.

The base price of the 16-inch MacBook Pro costs $2,399, the one that sports a 2.6GHZ six-core Core i7 Processor. The second, pricier version, will burn $2,799. Depending on your chosen configuration in upgrading your laptop, the MacBook Pro could cost as high as $6,099.
