Gamers who have the Minecraft Bedrock Edition—or the one available for Switch, Xbox One, Windows 10, and mobile—have received a new update, Minecraft 1.13.0, which includes a variety of new additions including foxes, suspicious stews, mushrooms, and more.
Attack of Adorable Foxes
Although the new creatures in the Minecraft universe are utterly adorable during the day, these foxes are a problem when night falls, and you should try your best to keep your chickens away from them, or you'll wake up to see them gone.
According to Eurogamer, the addition of the foxes came after Mojang had their community vote for which they should update first—whether the taiga biomes, the desert, or the savanna.
Due to enthusiasm from its followers, the taiga biomes were updated, thus giving us those adorable chicken-chomping foxes.
How to Tame Foxes
But can you tame these foxes?
Based on a guide by PCGamer, it seems possible to get a fox—or foxes—to be loyal to you, but you have to breed them by convincing the existing foxes to mate. Do this by giving a sweet berry to one of the foxes, and another one to the fox that you want the first one to mate with, then just wait.
Once the new fox is bred, it will be loyal to you.
However, you need to keep the new fox away from the pack, or it will follow them, and you will lose its loyalty, plus you'll want to attach a lead to it, so it follows you instead.
Mooshrooms, Supicious Stews, and More!
Besides foxes, Minecraft 1.13.0 update also has included a few other additions, including Brown Mooshrooms, that are created when a Red Mooshroom is hit by lightning and is useful when combined with other flowers in creating a Suspicious Stew.
Speaking of flowers, the Wither Rose is also added to the game, which blooms whenever a living entity dies to a Wither, and may even be useful when creating the Suspicious Stew, according to Mojang.
Additionally, players can now customize their characters with the character creator that allows them to change skin tones, body shapes, sizes, replacement limbs, and tweakable eyes, hair, facial hair, and mouths.
All the changes that are done to the game are now available through Mojang's patch notes.
Minecraft Earth
Meanwhile, Mojang has also announced that they will be expanding the availability of Minecraft augmented reality (AR) spinoff, Minecraft Earth, to Australia, Mexico, and Sweden, and is available through Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS.
