Fortnite fans who've been in a Gamestop store recently might have gotten a code for a Merry Mint Pickaxe. However, we're only getting a chance to redeem the Pickaxe in-game now that Version 11.10 has rolled out.
How to get the code
In a recent blog post, Epic Games announced that V-Bucks can now be bought physically from stores. The V-Bucks work like prepaid online store credits. Buy the V-Bucks card from the physical store, and then enter the code on the card to get V-Bucks in-game. You could check this link out if you're unfamiliar with the redemption process.
What do these V-Bucks credits have to do with the Merry Mint Pickaxe? In the same blog post, Epic Games alluded to the Merry Mint Pickaxe. According to them, new Fortnite gear will be arriving in stores this Holiday season.
In select stores in the U.S., U.K., France, and Germany, you could get a Merry Mint Axe code whenever you buy an officially licensed Fortnite product, which includes the aforementioned V-Bucks.

What's the Merry Mint Pickaxe?
The Merry Mint Pickaxe is a cosmetic item for the game Fortnite. This means that the only thing it changes is the way your pickaxe would look like.
The cosmetic item has a rarity of "Epic", and is described in-game as "Refreshingly festive." It is part of the Frosty Fights set, which currently only includes the Merry Mint Pickaxe.
How to activate the Merry Mint Pickaxe Code?
When you get your Merry Mint Pickaxe code from retailers, you could visit the Epic Game Store to enter the code. Log-in using your Epic Games account connected to your Fortnite account. Hover your cursor over your username, then click "Redeem Code."
Input the code in the space provided, and press Enter. The Merry Mint Pickaxe will be added to your account afterward.
More details about Version 11.10
Version 11.10 makes some changes to Fortnite's new map. It reintroduces "Fortnitemares" in-game event, which we've seen in the past two years. As per tradition, Fortnitemares was released on Oct. 29, 2019, just like in the two previous years.
Fortnitemares introduced a set of new challenges for players to take part of. The challenges award cosmetic items and Battle Pass XP. A bunch of new Halloween-themed cosmetics will be up for grabs for Fortnite fans.
A new Limited Time Mode comes with Version 11.10, called "Storm King LTM." It's a raid boss battle where you team up with everyone else in the match against the Storm King, a giant monster before he destroys the island.
A new community-made game is also made available by Version 11.10 called Gun Fright. Team up with a friend and go 2v2 against others in a fast-paced firefight. The game mode will test players' gunplay and communication skills. Community developer BluDrive created gun Fright.
