Top retailers are undoubtedly getting ready for the best deals they can offer on Black Friday 2019. And, for this year's biggest shopping event, expect another stiff competition between two of the giant participating sellers, Walmart and Amazon. The two have almost the same products to offer their customers, but certainly, there's always one that can beat the other, but not in all aspects. One may have a competitive edge over the other in certain products and vice versa.
In this Forbes article, senior contributor Gordon Kelly puts the two big stores head-to-head to make a fair comparison. In his dedicated Black Friday 2019 guides, Kelly enumerates the items that made Walmart Beat Amazon, following the two companies' "historical pattern with their Black Friday deals." In the article, the writer shares how Walmart beat Amazon in last year's Black Friday. One of which was that the former succeeded in its iPhone promos where it gave away "$300 gift card with qualified activation" in its iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or iPhone XS Max deals while Amazon didn't have any major iPhone sales.
For Amazon, the online retail store offered last year its "32-inch TVs for circa" at just $120 while Walmart didn't show any interest in this pricing strategy. In terms of shipping, Amazon had a quite better deal with its free 2-day shipping on almost all orders sans the minimum for its Prime members. Non-members were charged $25 for the shipping fee while Walmart had the outdated $35 minimum charge to qualify for immediate shipment.
What to Expect from the Giants this Black Friday 2019
While the shoppers excitedly wait for Nov. 29, the official date of the biggest and most popular sale on Earth, Walmart has already rolled out its Black Friday 2019 sales. And, as it does, expect this leading Black Friday store to deliver again its $300 vouchers that come with qualified activation for its sale of Apple iPhones 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. Amazon, this year, will take its chance to catch up with Walmart's iPhone sales as it is also now an official reseller of new devices, which is also expected to be offered with huge discounts.
Aside from the latest iPhone models, Walmart also includes the Samsung Galaxy models, S10, S10+, Note 10, and Note 10+ in its best Black Friday 2019 deals. Amazon may not have great deals for tech devices, but expect it to offer again its circa $100 discounts on its bestselling offers. Walmart is offering the Sony PlayStation 4 bundles once more, while Amazon is set to offer a discount on standalone deals. This means that it is expected for the PS4 Pro price of circa $274 with a huge $125 savings.
