'The Outer Worlds' Update: Obsidian has a Good Boy for a Voice Actor, Plus Level Cap Guide

The Outer Worlds is now out, and everyone who has been waiting for it can already play it on PC, and if you have started playing so, you'd know what raptidons are--those giant, scaly, rodent-like creatures that are rampant in planet Monarch.

The Goodest Boi

Although these creatures are terrifying, they hold a secret behind the camera that will tame even the hardest hearts.

The official Twitter account of The Outer Worlds has revealed the voice behind these horrific creatures as a good boy and a very adorable little French bulldog named Louie, which, according to PCGamer, is the resident Obsidian Entertainment dog.

It's not uncommon for game developers to hire voice actors to bring characters on a game alive, but it's also typical for them to find anything that could make creatures in their game sound more alive, as in the case of Louie and the raptidons.

Maximum Level Cap Guide

Meanwhile, there are still some questions surrounding The Outer World, especially since it's just newly released.

How long the game is supposed to last has already been answered (it's 30 minutes, for those who are not aware), but another question is bugging fans: what's the maximum level you can reach in the game?

According to RPG Site, it turns out that the maximum level in Obsidian Entertainment's offer is level 30, and you can easily reach level 23 by playing through the main story while doing a few side quests.

However, if you want to reach level 30 as soon as possible, focus more on the side-quests.

Some players would rather grind their way to the maximum level possible before focusing on the main story and quests, giving them advantages when boss battles come, and there are harder combat sequences.

When you level up in The Outer Worlds, you'll get one perk point every two levels, with a total of 15 perk points when you've reached level 30.

Once you level up, you'll also get ten skill points, which means you can get 300 skill points when you've reached the maximum level.

The Same Universe?

Although they are from different franchises, Fallout and The Outer Worlds are often seen as similar--and it could be more than just because they have the same developers. As per a report by Screen Rant, the two games "contain strong indicators" that they belong in the same universe.

In one of the endings of Fallout: New Vegas, the leader of Vegas wasteland plans on sending colony ships to the stars to find an unpolluted planet, and it's the perfect tie to The Outer Worlds, whose main character was from a colony ship that got lost.

It could be purely coincidence, or it could be more than that.
