Even though they haven't been launched yet, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have pretty much been revealed in their entirety already by way of leaks. Still, that won't stop them from coming in.
Now a new leak shows the full spec sheet of the two smartphones in question, as well as what's included — or rather, what's missing — in the box and the "Pixel Neural Core."
Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL Leak
The leak this time around comes from the news website 9to5Google. According to it, the Pixel 4 XL will have a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ OLED Smooth Display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 4 will have a 5.7-inch Full HD+ OLED Smooth Display with a 90 Hz refresh rate as well. The former will be powered by a 3,700 mAh battery and the latter by a 2,800 mAh battery.
On paper, that's as far as the differences between the two go. They'll both sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (not the newer Snapdragon 855 Plus, just to be clear), Pixel Neural Core, 6 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of native storage, and a dual camera setup that consists of a 12-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel telephoto lens.
In addition, they'll also have stereo speakers, a USB-C port, Face unlock, Motion Sense, Titan M Security Module, and the typical promise of three years' worth of Android and security updates.
Regarding the core specs, these pretty much align with the slew of leaks and rumors in the past, so they aren't all that surprising. Apparently, though, the Pixel Neural Core is a replacement for the Pixel Visual Core that was introduced in the Pixel 2.
What's In The Box?
As for what they're coming with, Google is throwing in a one-meter USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0), an 18W USB-C power brick, a Quick Switch Adapter, a SIM tool, and a Quick Start Guide.
That means the new Pixels will be packed with a pair of USB-C earbuds or even a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter. That's the case in the United States, at least. As 9to5Google points out, phone makers are legally required to ship their products with earphones in the box in certain countries, and that means the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL might come with USB-C audio peripherals in those markets.
Google is expected to officially unveil the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL at its Oct. 15 event.
