The iPhone 11 is about to go official.
Apple started sending out invitations to the media on Aug. 29 for an event, where it's expected to take the wraps off the new iPhone models.
iPhone 11 Unveiling Date
The company is going to announce new products and services at 10 a.m. PT on Sept. 10 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.
Of course, the invitation didn't really reveal much, and it didn't explicitly mention the new iPhones' unveiling. Still, the consensus is that "new products" includes the next-generation iPhones.
Now the invite simply says, "By innovation only," and includes the schedule details mentioned above.
iPhone 11 Rumors
What Apple will exactly call its next iPhones aren't clear, but some of the names floating around online are iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, which are said to replace the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, respectively. Other monikers being thrown around are iPhone 11, iPhone 11R, and iPhone 11 Max.
While the specific improvements are still up in the air, the next iPhones are expected to build on their predecessors with faster chipsets and better cameras and run on iOS 13.
Other Things To Expect At The September Event
Apple has been widening its range of products and services lately, including ventures into the TV streaming industry with Apple TV Plus and even the credit card business with Apple Card. It has also jumped into the gaming scene with Arcade. The Cupertino brand might announce updates on these offerings at the event.
Meanwhile, Apple could also unwrap the Apple Watch Series 5 there. It's been up and about in hardware releases, after all, as evidenced by the AirPods and HomePod devices, to name two.
Last but not least, the company may announce more information regarding its software, particularly iOS 13, iPadOS, and watchOS 6.
