True 16-Inch MacBook Pro 2019 Backs Down From OLED, Debuts In October At $3,000 Starting Price

The truly new MacBook Pro 2019 backs down from OLED and will instead debut in few more months as a 16-inch LCD laptop, a new report confirms.

Taiwan's United Daily News also reveals an exorbitant $3,000 starting price for Apple's largest MacBook Pro laptop since the launch of the 17-inch MacBook Pro in 2012. This explains why Apple sets a hefty baseline price tag onto the 2019 iteration.

Apple also looks to serve content creators and developers with the true MacBook Pro 2019. According to Tech Radar, the company seems sincere to cater to the needs of these audiences.

UDN's report is not the first to affirm that the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019 will not have an OLED display. HIS Markit, market analysts based in London, originally suggested that Apple's next Macbook Pro will rather be an LCD with a 3,072 x 1,920-pixel resolution that would give a competitive sharp 3K display at 226 pixels per inch and a total of 5.9 million pixels.

MacBook Pro 2019 Rumored Specs And Features

Apple is also said to offer this year's model with up 32GB memory or RAM that is now possible on the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Previous reports indicate that the device's new design possibly comes with smaller screen bezels.

It remains unknown, however, what would be the processor technology inside the MacBook Pro 2019 come October. It is not yet certain if Apple's ARM laptop processor is already available for these new laptops, or if the company opts for AMD processors given how Intel is losing its strong position as one of largest chip makers in the world.

The Wall Street Journal reported, however, on Tuesday that Apple is in advanced talks to purchase Intel's modern chip business for $1 billion or more. Apple and Intel could close the deal next week.
