Microsoft is discontinuing its bundle pricing on the Xbox One with the end of the holidays. Buyers who act fast, however, can still score a great final deal from Amazon and Best Buy on the Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle.
It's the last chance to pick up an Xbox One Bundle with the special Microsoft discount pricing that was instituted over the holidays. Retailers Amazon and Best Buy are celebrating the end of the bundle pricing with special discount deals reducing the effective price to just $299.
In the weeks leading up to the holidays, Microsoft instituted its bundle pricing which paired the console with some of the newest and most popular games and digital downloads. One of the most popular of these bundles was the Assassins Creed Unity Bundle, which was offered by all the major retailers and online outlets at Microsoft-directed discount pricing of $399. As Black Friday and Christmas set in, many retailers were offering an additional discount on top of the bundle pricing, and eventually most sellers had the bundle on sale at $349. Some of those retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, Target, and Walmart also offered additional discounts in the form of $50 gift cards on top of the $50 price cut on the bundle, which reduced the price to $299 effectively.
On Black Friday, Target actually did its competitors one better and discounted the bundle to $329, along with a $50 gift card, which made the net price only $279 and was justifiably voted as one of the top 5 best Black Friday deals by consumers.
Now, with the holidays over and a New Year just beginning, the bundle pricing is being retired by Microsoft, but not before Amazon and Best Buy get their last licks in with a great final sale. Both retailers have reduced their price of the Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle to $349, and offered a $50 gift card on top of that, giving consumers one last shot at the great Black Friday pricing that they may have missed. If you're looking to get in on that deal, act fast because after Jan.3 2015, the bundle pricing by Microsoft is officially retired and the deal is gone.
