Lizard Squad to Peddle Hacking Services for Small Fee

Lizard Squad is now offering potential customers its hacking services which the group has started promoting through a new website. The hacking group was the one responsible for the Christmas Day cyber attacks on Microsoft's Xbox systems and Sony's PlayStation.

The website offers "cyber attack" hopefuls the rare opportunity to overwhelm a server and eventually end everything up in an offline state. It's a common disabling method otherwise known as DDoS attack or "distributed denial of service." Computer programs such as booters and stresses can be accessed and paid for when one is about to launch the DDoS.

The group is marketing a tool known as "Lizard Stresser." The tool allows the user to test if his network is strong enough to survive a similar attack. Likewise, it can also be used to attack any targeted page.

While the website has been filled with similar tools for several years in the past, the tool offered by the Lizard Squad is so far deemed as unique because of the way it is being marketed.

Upon visiting the site, users could read how the tool is described on the introduction page. According to the site, it is a famous tool that has been used to take down a number of gaming networks such as League of Legends, BattleNet, Jagex, Playstation Nework, Xbox Live, and many more.

From the introduction page, the user is then informed on the tool's terms of service. It states: "Permission is granted to stress test dedicated servers and networks owned by you. This is the opportunity [sic] to make your firewalls better, not to misuse against the law. This is a license given to you and anything you do while on https://lizardstresser.su/ is your own responsibility as we are not liable."

The terms of service indicates that any form of liability should fall on the user and not on Lizard Squad. To ensure that this is met, the group prevents the user from accessing virtual private networks that will otherwise conceal one's real identity and location. If the site's offer of sending DDoS attacks is authentic, anyone who would want to use it will then be able to take advantage of the tool's powerful and dangerous capabilities.

The service is said to incur charges that go between $6 and $500 for each attack. The currency used for payment is bitcoin.
