Samsung has just unveiled the newest ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook, which will be on display at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas. Measuring at 0.46-inch thin and 2.06 lbs, the laptop is no doubt one of the company's lightest and thinnest models ever made.
The laptop is designed to cater to users who are always on the go. With a battery life that could last up to 10.5 hours and a size so slim that it can easily be tucked inside one's briefcase or purse, the ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook is a must-have for the active traveler and serious worker.
One thing that should be noted about the new laptop from Samsung is its new Intel Broadwell Core M processor, which has been designed to work specifically for ultra-portable and super-slim devices. As such, it has allowed the laptop to deliver superior energy-efficient performance.
Samsung has also enhanced the laptop's ergonomic keyboard in order to support its integrated multiple one-touch activations for the machine's security features and convenient mode switching. Users are assured to get a more comfortable and efficient typing experience with the keyboard's unique curves that can easily fit and cradle one's fingers.
Apart from the laptop's impressive design and superb performance, users can also take advantage of the laptop's security features. Samsung has designed the ATIV Book 9 with a security solution that comes in threefold. These include a one-key activation of the secret screen upon log-in, a single-function command for easy protection of on-screen content, and the configuring of the F10 key's responsiveness when pressed, allowing the user to select which windows to hide.
The security feature of the laptop makes it an ideal companion to mobile business users who are usually seen working from coffee shops, airports, and other public places. It is also ideal for users who do not want their private information to be compromised in a public setting.
Other features of the ATIV Book 9 include enhanced connectivity and mobile capacities. Interestingly, the laptop has been given a Wi-Fi Amp, which has allowed it to have a faster Internet speed connection by as much as 20 percent. The result is getting Internet access that is always on and immediate. Coupled with the Samsung Link 2.0 and Side Sync 3.0, users can easily share data and enjoy both outgoing and incoming calls from their laptop even when their mobile device is not within reach.
Samsung is making the laptop available for pre-order beginning in the first quarter of 2015. While the retail price is set at $1,200, it may vary when sold in countries outside the U.S.
