Kate Hudson welcomed her third child, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, on Oct. 2. The actress announced the good news on her Instagram.
This is Hudson's first daughter, and first child with her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa. The well-known actress has a 14-year-old son, Ryder Russel, from her past marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. She also has a 7-year-old son, Bingham Hawn, from her ex-fiancé, Matt Bellamy, frontman of iconic band Muse.
Hudson's Daughter With Fujikawa
"We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa," the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star wrote, adding that Ron was a very special person who they all miss very much and to name her child after him was something she considers as an honor.
Hudson added that everybody is happy and doing great. She also extended her family's thanks to everyone for sending all their blessings and love to them.
The actress notably posted a gender-reveal video on her Instagram last April. According to a source, Hudson and her 32-year-old musician boyfriend have been trying to have a baby for a while.
Just before she gave birth, she even posted another picture from her baby shower, with the hashtag #WeReady.
In April, Hudson also revealed in an interview that she wanted to have more children. According to her, a girl would be great, and she just has to see how many kids Fujikawa wants.
Hudson's Relationship With Fujikawa
Hudson's brother, Wyatt Russell revealed to People that he even got emotional for the actress because he knows that she really wanted to have a girl.
"I know Danny, I'm sure in some part of every man's brain you're like, 'I'd love to have a little me,'" he added about his sister's boyfriend.
Fujikawa and the Almost Famous actress have known each other for long. According to Hudson, she has known his family for years and to have that intense connection is really powerful. The musician is the stepbrother of Hudson's close friends, Sara and Erin Foster.
