Steam is currently having its big annual sale, and we are certain many gamers are going to be without cash before the year comes to a close. The Steam Holiday Sale is known for dropping some great bargains, and nothing has changed with the latest incarnation.
The Steam Holiday Sale began on Dec. 18 and is expected to run until Jan. 2, 2015. That is 15 days of pure bliss where cheap video games are concerned. This will undoubtedly create a massive backlog of games for many gamers, and for some, the backlog will only increase.
Today, which is right now, players can pick up Tomb Raider for a mere $4. For those who are unaware, Tomb Raider is the reboot of the popular franchise of the same name. Despite not selling the amount Square Enix and critics have expected, a sequel was greenlit, and from what we understand, it will come first to the Xbox One.
Another game that is currently on sale is Dishonored. The game got great reviews from several video game critics, but some thought it wasn't that awesome and that video game critics should stop giving Bethesda the easy way out. The game will only cost Steam customers $5, so folks who have been on the fence can finally give it a spin.
Next up, is a game called Transistor. The title features a young woman who managed to gain control of an all-powerful weapon, and as expected, there are those who want to take her out. Not for dinner, we're talking about her life here.
Gamers who want to give Transistor a shot will be required to purchase it for $6.80. Furthermore, we should point out that the game is available for both the PC and the PlayStation 4.
Other deals include Red Faction: Gorilla for just $3, and the recently released, The Crew, at 20 percent off for $48.
At the moment, we can't tell which games will go on sale on Monday, but we would love it if Steam drops a bombshell. A quality AAA game on sale would be a great start to the New Year, agreed? We thought so.
