'Diablo III' Invades 'Overwatch' With Demon Hunter Sombra Skin: Here's How To Get It

Blizzard is no stranger in merging its video game franchises, and the latest example is Diablo III's invasion of Overwatch with the Demon Hunter skin for Sombra.

The latest addition to the list of Sombra legendary skins was revealed through Blizzard's announcement of the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket, as this year's version of the annual event draws near.

Demon Hunter Skin For Sombra

Blizzard will kick off BlizzCon 2018 on Nov. 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Gamers who will not be able to attend the event in person may instead purchase a BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket to watch from the comfort of their own homes through live streams.

To sweeten the deal, the virtual ticket will come with a skin for Overwatch's Sombra based on the Demon Hunter class of Diablo III.

The new legendary Sombra skin is available immediately upon purchasing the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket. However, it should be noted that Sombra mains who want to get the Demon Hunter skin could get it another way, and that is simply to wait.

The BlizzCon post states the in-game items that the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket will offer for Overwatch, Starcraft II, and Starcraft: Remastered will be made available in 2019. This means that the Demon Hunter skin should appear in the Overwatch in-game store next year.

In addition to the Demon Hunter skin for Sombra, gamers who buy a BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket will gain access to several original BlizzCon video series on the official BlizzCon smartphone app, as well as a $10 discount for this year's Goody Bag, while supplies last. Holders of the virtual ticket will also receive a variety of other in-game rewards for World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft II, Starcraft: Remastered, and Diablo III.

What To Expect At BlizzCon 2018

The opening ceremony and eSports segments of BlizzCon 2018 may be watched by everyone, but the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket is needed to view the panels and activities happening in the three main stages, named Mythic, Legendary, and Epic.

Virtual ticket holders will also be able to participate in the interactive BlizzCon Build-a-Panel polls by voting through the BlizzCon app, as well as watch the cosplay and talent competition during Community Night.

Blizzard also recently announced that the release date of Diablo III for Nintendo Switch is set for Nov. 2, the same day as the start of BlizzCon 2018. This likely means that the game will have a significant presence at the annual event, which is something to look forward to for Blizzard fans who own the hybrid console.
