Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, has released the latest patch for its widely popular game, giving players additional reasons to play and enjoy.
Via its version 5.30 patch, Epic Games has introduced the Rift-To-Go item, which it described as any player's ace in the hole. The new feature lets players create a rift for themselves or their allies. Rift-To-Go is a rare item and could drop in stacks of one, with a maximum stack size of two. Players can find it in chests, vending machines, supply drops, and loot llamas.
When the user activates the Rift-To-Go, the player is teleported into the sky and placed in skydiving mode. The rift, for its part, will stay at the location it was deployed for 10 seconds, allowing other players to use it. As a warning, enemies can follow a user through the rift.
Latest 'Fortnite' Patch Provides Additional Features
The patch also added Score Royale limited time mode, where players earn points by collecting coins, opening loot containers, and killing enemies, with the first player reaching the high score threshold wins.
According to Epic Games, the limited time mode playground has been updated, with the addition of a couple of dozen new ATK's available. The patch has added more ramps and a few new Rifts scattered throughout the map. A player is advised to head to the hilltops to find them all.
For those looking for a weapon that could deal serious damage to opponent, the bundlebuss assault rifle or the multi-barrelled Flintok weapon is available in the Save the World PvE campaign. Players can also earn legendary rewards in the Horde Challenge Week 3 in Save the World by thwarting off the threats and attempts by enemies.
Other Updates from 'Fortnite' Version 5.30
The other features of the Version 5.30 allow players to select their desired keyboard control, choosing between the default keyboard control or old-school controls. The patch also includes New Message of the Day format for both Save the World and Battle Royale modes.
When it comes to weapons and items, players will have a quicker chance to react as the patch shortened Pump Shotgun equip time from 0.96 seconds to 0.88 seconds. The efficiency of the Double Barrel shotgun has been improved, having a spread reduction of 15 percent while the user is crouched.
The new patch also comes with other weapons upgrade, with clingers exploding only when their fuse has expired. Clingers will not also explode if the object where they are attached is destroyed. The latest patch also increased the Impulse Grenade max stack size from 8 to 9, while Bouncers now need line of sight of a player to activate.
