Huawei Consumer Business Group added another feather to its cap after the Huawei P20 Pro was named as the best smartphone of 2018-2019.

The European Image and Sound Association which is made up of 55 of the globe's top consumer electronics magazines said that the Huawei P20 Pro is the most advanced, innovative, and technically superior smartphone ever. It also marked the sixth straight year for Huawei to be recognized by EISA after the Huawei P10 was recognized as the EISA Smartphone Camera for 2017-2018.
Li Changzhu, Vice President of Handset Business for Huawei Consumer Business Group said that it has been the company's continuous vision to reward customers smart photography features through their devices. The trophy is set to be presented to Huawei in the EISA Awards Ceremony that will take place at the Internationale Funkausstellung in Berlin on Aug. 31.
"For us the most important reward is creating products that let consumers enjoy and experience intelligent and photography through our devices. The HUAWEI P20 Pro provides a wealth of photography features to help capture and share the moments that mean the most to our users," Changzhu said.
Among the features that were mentioned by EISA was the P20 Pro's triple-camera system which was produced by renowned German optics company Leica. EISA also highlighted its ability to support a 5x hybrid zoom as well as its capacity to reinforce a 3x optical zoom.
EISA noted that the Huawei P20 Pro is a winning combination of great hardware and craftsmanship thanks to its heavy-duty 4,000 mAh battery. The organization also highlighted the smartphone's AI image stabilizer which lets users capture long-exposure photos without the need of using a tripod.
P20 Pro Named Official Smartphone Of TIFF
Interestingly, the recognition comes after Canada's announcement of Huawei P20 Pro as the official smartphone of the Toronto International Film Festival. It is also the second time in as many years that Huawei Canada will sponsor the said event.
The multi-awarded P20 Pro will be used in taking snapshots of the action in TIFF red carpets wherein 34 special presentations and 16 gala presentations are set to be performed. Radek Krasny who is the Director of Marketing And Brand for Huawei Canada was elated upon hearing the news of being recognized by EISA, citing that the award serves as their motivation to capture the best moments in the Portrait Studio.
"This EISA award is incredible news, especially as we gear up to support TIFF and the capturing of esteemed actors and actresses on the red carpet and in the Portrait Studio. The P20 Pro, with its superior camera and battery, is the perfect smartphone device to support photographers at a festival that celebrates the art of film," Krasny closed.
