It looks like there's a high demand for the OnePlus 6 Silk White variant. The limited edition model is already sold out, according to the company.
OnePlus 6 Silk White Model Sells Out Within 24 Hours
Initially, the OnePlus 6 was only available in two colors: Mirror Black and Midnight Black.
Earlier this week, the company launched a limited edition model of the smartphone in a Silk White avatar, and the variant sold out within 24 hours of going live on the company's website in the United States and Europe.
Aside from the OnePlus 6 Silk White model, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless earphones that the Shenzhen-based company launched with the flagship device also sold out. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei revealed that the earphones became out of stock in just three minutes.
Why Is It Such A Hot Seller?
Unlike the other color options, the Silk White OnePlus 6 features a pearl white matte coating as opposed to the glossy all-glass finish of the Mirror Black variant, or the matte black design of the Midnight Black option.
The special edition also sports rose gold-tinted accents that embellish the logo, the phone's metal frame, and the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel of the device.
OnePlus has retained the black bezel on the Silk White model, and the specs remain unchanged. However, the limited edition OnePlus 6 is only available in one configuration: 8GB RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The model is priced at $579, same as the Midnight Black and Mirror Black options in the same configuration. The phone also features the same 6.28-inch screen which comes with a notch cut out at the top, a 1080 x 2280 resolution with a 19:9 aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 845 processor, and a 3,300 mAh battery.
The Silk White variant comes with the identical dual-camera setup on the back, which includes one 20 MP sensor and a 16 MP one, in addition to a 16 MP front-facing camera.
When Does It Go On Sale Again?
Those who weren't able to grab a Silk White OnePlus 6 at the earlier sale, will get another opportunity soon. The limited edition model will be going on sale again on June 12 at 10 AM ET.
There is a possibility that this is the last time that the device will be sold, so those who want to own on a Silk White OnePlus shouldn't miss out on what could be their only remaining chance to purchase the unique device.
