Actors and actresses have been known to go above and beyond in order to prepare for big movie roles. Actor Johnny Depp is no exception to that rule. However, a recent photo of the actor on Instagram has his fans concerned about his health.
Johnny's Questionable Appearance
Depp, best known for role as the eccentric pirate (Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Carribean franchise) was shown in a photo with a fan looking thinner than usual. Fans also noted that the actor seemed to have shaved his hair and his skin looked unnaturally pale.
It has been confirmed that the actor portrayed a man dying of cancer in the film Richard Says Goodbye, which would explain the drastic weight loss. However, the film was completed in 2017.
Depp is also set to appear in the film The Crimes of Grindelwald, the sequel to the Fantastic Beast series and City of Lies, a biopic based on the murders of rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur.
According to reports, there aren't any recent films the actor has signed on to do that require any change to his appearance, which has prompted fans to speculate that Depp's recent financial and personal woes might be causing harm to the actor's health.
Johnny's Rocky Life
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actor has made headlines quite frequently due to the amount of drama surrounding his personal life. Depp was sued by his two former bodyguards in March who claimed that they were "forced" to protect Depp from himself, which included wiping drugs off of his face.
There have been several other reports that Depp's out-of-control behavior spiraled into his professional life, with people claiming that Depp attacked a person on set in Los Angeles and that the actor showed up late during the production of City of Lies.
Probably the most exploitative situation involving Depp was the scandalous divorce between himself and his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard. Heard claimed that Depp abused her during their marriage and the pair settled their divorce with Heard receiving $7 million.
Not to mention that Depp's mother also passed away in 2016.
However, there are other fans of the Cry Baby star who think that Depp is doing just fine. Depp is still touring with his band. The 54-year-old actor is currently touring with his band despite his legal and financial dramas.
