Marvel's long-awaited Doctor Strange is coming November 4, 2016, and director Scott Derrickson is already fueling the fanboy flames by tweeting out some fan art of the master of the mystic arts.

The image features the newly appointed Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch (complete with goatee), superimposed over a cosmic background. After fan reactions, Derrickson was quick to point out that the image is not an official Marvel promo, just fan art. That doesn't make it any less cool, however.
Last tweet is online fan art, not official. I have no idea who made it. — Scott Derrickson (@scottderrickson) December 22, 2014

Not much is known about the upcoming phase three Marvel film. The screenplay is coming from Jon Spaihts, and will follow the story of neurosurgeon Stephen Strange, who is injured in a horrific car accident and soon discovers mystic powers. We will just have to wait and see what else is in store, but fans will no doubt be glued to Derrickson's Twitter page to catch every possible hint.
