Dr. Evil on SNL: Pokes Fun at North Korea, Sony Pictures Over 'The Interview' Issue

With Sony Pictures' removal of "The Interview" from movie theaters post threats creating quite a furor, Dr. Evil reprised by Mike Myers took to Saturday Night Live (SNL) to take digs at the issue.

For the uninitiated, the FBI is attributing the hacking of Sony Pictures to North Korea. However, the North Korean government is denying any involvement and has even asked for a joint enquiry into the matter.

With fingers being pointed back and forth, Dr. Evil from Austin Powers took matters into his own hands to reveal what evil is really all about. The clever comic sketch takes jabs at the organization claiming responsibility for the Sony hacks i.e. the Guardians of Peace (GOP).

"I've preempted this program because I'm furious that North Korea and Sony Pictures have both given evil organizations a bad name," said Dr. Evil. "I mean, what the eff people? It's just so pathetic to see you two fight over a silly comedy ... Who cares?"

Dr. Evil also takes jibes at North Korea in his inimitable sarcastic style.

"Let's start with you, North Korea. You're one of the most evil countries in the world and your act of war is to kill a movie? It's easy to kill a movie. Just move it to January."

January is notorious for being the month when terrible movies that crash at the box office release.

Mike Myers aka Dr. Evil also took jibes at GOP by saying that "they're already an evil organization."

Even Sony wasn't spared the verbal battering as Dr. Evil joked that Sony had not even had a hit since the company released its Walkman eons ago.

"But why pick on Sony? They haven't had a hit since the Walkman," joked Myers. "Come on, Sony. You thought it was a joke to have James Franco assassinate Kim Jon-Un? The man single-handedly almost killed the Oscars."
