Those that spend a great deal of time on Instagram are probably very familiar with Salt Bae.
Well, for those who aren't, the 35-year-old chef rose to fame after he was spotted letting salt fall down from his forearm and then spreading it onto a piece of meat in a video in January 2017. The viral video easily led him to become one of the most popular memes of 2017, as he had everyone trying to impersonate his iconic way of seasoning and suavely cutting meat.
Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, gained the experience he needed as a cook and restaurateur, which eventually led him to open three restaurants. The restaurants are located in Istanbul, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. In 2018, Gokce finally opened his first restaurant in New York City, which has been praised by several famous faces such as, Diddy, Naomi Campbell, and DJ Khaled.
However, there is much more to Salt Bae than providing entertainment, sporting crisp white T-shirts, and running a global steakhouse chain. Fans of the cook will be surprised to know that he is actually able to make fitness along with healthy eating a huge priority in his hectic lifestyle.

In an interview with GQ, Gokce opened up about his eating habits as well as his rigorous workout regimen. Surprisingly, the chef revealed that he actually does indulge in meat but just enough to provide with him the energy that needs to get through the day.
"It's not about the amount. I have the amount of protein I need every day to fuel myself. I'm very busy," the Turkey native stated.
Along with making sure he's eating the well, Gokce also takes working out very seriously. Those who follow him on Instagram know that he continuously shares videos of himself as he gets in a good boxing session and flaunts his abs while doing pull-ups.
However, what might not come as a surprise is that Gokce doesn't get much sleep. The social media personality stated that he's lucky to get about four hours, but his workouts and diet are what helps to keep him going.
